The placement is totally nice. It is on 5th avenue New York Metropolis so it's right in the course of all the things and all one of the best buying.

It is correct across from Central Park and the Apple store and Bergdorf Goodman.
All the most effective shopping is close by - Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Bvlgari, Ferragamo, and many others. etc. it goes on and on. ferragamo belts red is a short stroll (about 10-quarter-hour) from Times Square and a fast 10 minute $7 cab journey there.

There are also tons of restaurants close by.
Alright, enough about the location.

The resort itself is gorgeous. It is outdated and basic and it shows. I read that it has been recently renovated and it has been properly finished. The hotel maintains the classy feel of something that has aged effectively and is elegant whereas not being dated and light. Certainly one of the one methods I could tell this was an previous resort have been the very small elevators however even that they had lovely wood work, mirrors and crystal chandeliers.

The room was the deluxe rose suite. It was a fairly giant room with a king sized bed with lush feather pillows on it. It was heaven. It had a sitting area, a chaise lounger in entrance of the bed - two closets - and a large bathroom with the lovely vine mosaic tile work and gold element in every single place.

The service was wonderful. They hailed us cabs within the rain out in entrance of the lodge and opened our doorways and closed them for us as we received in. They carried all our luggage for us. They opened and closed doors.... it was what is predicted from a hotel that boasts luxury at it is best.

We ate breakfast our final day within the Palm Court docket - which is gorgeous. The food was so-so. I've stayed at some excessive class hotels in my time: the Resort Grande Bretagne in Athens, the Waldorf-Astoria in Rome, and so on. and the breakfast right here that was supplied continental was not on the level of this hotel. The eggs were runny and the pastry choice consisted of some exhausting muffins and some other small croissants and such, not nice. I used to be dissatisfied. It was $35 a person which is about customary but for that price at different inns I've had far better meals. Not pleased with . My pal did order from the menu and bought some superb french toast.
